Bakeware Sale on Amazon

Since I am moving into my new place soon, I was checking out Amazon for cookwares and bakewares for the kitchen so I can stock it with stuff I will need to cook my meals with.
Amazon has occasional fire sales on various items and this week, they are having a fire sale on their kitchen supplies.
I did some comparison shopping and to my surprise, I found a good deal on bakewares that I can use for making my own bread or casserole dishes with.
| Amazon Product | List Price | Amazon Price | Cost Per Piece | Savings |
| Simply Calphalon Nonstick 6-Piece Bakeware Set |
$81.00 | $29.99 | $4.99 | $51.01 |
| Anolon Suregrip 5-Piece Bakeware Set |
$80.00 | $17.21 | $3.44 | $62.79 |
As you can see, it pays to do a little comparison shopping. Both brands, Calphalon and Anolon have an average rating of 4.5 stars. (Granted, Calphalon has more reviews, 104 customer reviews to Anolon’s 22).
The list prices shows both brands to be equal, in the $80 range. Other than that, both of the brands had the same bakewares, a cooling rack, a cookie pan, a loaf pan, a circular pan, and a square pan. (Calphalon offers 2 circular pans in their set, hence the 6-piece).
Since I do not need a lot of bakeware and I prefer to be frugal with quality items, I broke down the cost per piece based on the Amazon price for both brands and to my surprise, the Anolon set was $1.55 cheaper per item than Calphalon was even though Calphalon had one extra item. So while Anolon has less reviews, it appears both of them are formidable enough quality-wise.
MBL’s Pick
The decision was an easy one to make, I ended up with the Anolon 5-piece set. I will revisit this post a year from now when I have a chance to use these products and let you know what I think of them.
